I had applied for my 2 year old son's passport vide File No. HYD-C005837-11 on March 14. The police verification was done on March 26.The police authorities have sent the enquiry report to the RPO on April 07 vide "Secret / Immediate No.:226 / IP/VC/SB/CYB". However the status on the website mentions "Others". I am unable to talk to the grievance officer as the lines are permanentely busy.
I had also applied for my passport renewal along with this. However I received mine in Aug (after a span of 6 months). Both the verification reports have been sent vide the same reference number as mentioned above.
According to RPO guidelines, a passport should be issued within 45 days. I am in urgent need of the passport as I need to travel abroad in November. I request the
concerned RPO authorities to look into my son's file and dispatch the passport at the earliest.
