I had booked a flat in Godrej Prakriti, Sodepur, West Bengal @ Rs. 21 lakhs. I had paid Rs. 8 lakhs in installments. The balance Rs. 12 lakhs was payable for which I applied for loan. In the meantime, The Godrej people sent me aletter saying that the booking was liable for cancellation if this amount was not paid. I requested them for some time since the loan application was pending. Then, I needed a SBI bank approval letter for the project, which they did not send me for almost 2 months in spie of repeated written, emailed and telephonic requests. Finally they sent me the document by mail, but this turned out to be the wrong document as my Flat was in tower 1 and the document sent was for tower 2. After literally begging them for the correct document, they finally sent it on 23rd June and, to my utter surprise, sent me a cancellation letter on the same date, i.e. 23rd June. The whole affair smelt of a conspiracy to prevent me from making the due payment on time so that they could cancel my booking and allot the falt to someone else. Repeated requests to allow me to take possession of my flat against payment has not elicited a single response.
I request Godrej Prakriti Pvt. Ltd., through there subsidiary Happy Highrises Pvt. Ltd. to allow me to pay my dues and take possession of my flat.
I urge the general public to be careful in dealing with these promoters/developers as they seem to resort to unscrupulous means to cheat you.
