When our family saw the Ad in Tv we got excited to buy the product for our kitchen. The tele brand said the rate is as Rs.1999/-. I thought of inquiring the price in the local market. To my surprise i bought the same - very same- Nicer Dicer at the rate of just Rs. 307/- (Three hundred rupees only) from a reputed store (Revathi- Perambur-Chennai) on 9th June.
I think, the same product would be available in the famous "Saravana Store" T-Nagar (and other leading stores also), for the same rate. Because, both the stores are run by the same relative groups. My shock is, how come a product is sold 6-7 fold times more in the telebrand-marketing? The consumer should be alert on these like advertisements through tv media. They should watch out for the real price in the local market.
