The following comments are based on my personal experience with this individual.
This company is a manufacturer and exporter of brass nautical instruments or gift items. They send samples of a reasonable quality to precede a larger shipment.
The shipment that followed contained nautical instruments that were different and of a much lesser quality to the samples sent originally. In fact 20% of the shipment needed to be repaired or finished and a further 15 - 20% was un-saleable un-repairable junk.
After emailing photos to Mr Alwi and an exchange of phone calls Mr Alwi agreed to replace the unsalable items after admitting to his failure to supply the quality first represent by the initial samples.
Mr Irfan Alwi will play on his bad English. He replaced 2 or 3% of the light weight badly made items by sending a 1.5 KG courier package claiming the rest of the nautical instruments or the heavier items would be sent in a few days. 3 Months later there are no replacement items.
I usually consider a 100 kg a maximum size sample shipment as these are usually paid for up front and sent by air. I allowed Mr Irfan to push that up to 150kg as he clamed an order of 100kg was to small to tool up for. He would have liked to send me half a ton.
It is my opinion that Mr Irfan Alwi mixed factory rejects and damaged items into my order to dispose of them at a profit. Realising I was not going to let it go he made show of attempting to put it right.
