This is an internet only business, meaning no physical address for returning items exists. They have no return policy, only lies to make people think that they can safely place an order and easily go through a typical return process if things go wrong. BIG FAT LIES! Do not expect to deal with reasonable customer service if they send you a pair of jeans 2 or 3 sizes smaller than you ordered. These are cut and sewn in INDIA, so, in my case, 50% of the jeans I ordered were so tiny and strangely proportioned that no one human being could fit into them. Proportions are not even human. There is no actual, physical, legitimate return address. A false New York address may be on a label on the package the jeans are sent in, but do not waste your money returning to any address. The phone number also is make-believe, disconnected.
My son is rehearsing for a play and we ordered a pair of cool olive green jeans for him in January so that he could have something functional to wear beyond the run of his play.. The jeans arrived promptly, and looked good, but he can not get them on, as they are only 23.5" inches at the waist and his waist is a 26". The legs are so narrow that no human being could squeeze into them. Here it is the last weekend in March and all I have from Harry's Fashion aka makeyourownjeans.com is my newly acquired realization that this company is better at playing games with their customers, having found a way to prevent returns and keeping customers' money no matter what.
They from experience in messing up people's orders what to do. For example, after hearing nothing back from them via email, and after returning the jeans to their fictitious address in Jamaica, New York and having the delivery guys call me at work several times throughout that day (they tried everything to locate anyone in the neighborhood who might know the business after they discovered no such address existed, and after we both called the disconnected phone number) I had my credit card company contact them with a reversal of charge. A letter appeared from makeyourownjeans/Harry's Fashion with no traceable source to my bank stating that I should return my jeans for an exchange for the correct size. No problem, no charge. Well, this means that the Credit Card co must close the case simply because the merchant responded, even if they lied.
Now, both my bank and I have been emailing customer service for over a week, demanding over and over a legitimate address to return the jeans to, but the only reply in the customer service emails to me (which I forward to my bank so they can open a new case) is "we do not make mistakes in our measurements... we check them several times before shipping, etc..." Then they inform me that my only recourse is to purchase a new pair of jeans with correct meaurements... No address or phone number is provided despite my repeating my need for this in every email I have ever sent their way since February... If I return these jeans to India, I will be wasting my money again, obviously. (I have read read other postings on this company's tactics and it is very clear that the address in India they post as a contact under "Returns" link is also a lie.)
The funny thing is, I measured my own jeans the same way and I can, at least, wear them (I ended up adding a pair to my son's order as the site stated I would save on shipping costs, but it was still very pricey, Now I know why. They ship from India!) So, my son's play is in about 2 weeks at this point, I purchased a different pair of pants that will not be functional outside of his performance, another $50 gone. These people are total liars and know all the tricks. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM makeyourownjeans.com or Harry's Fashions. The size will very likely be so small that you won't even be able to donate them to GoodWill or Salvation Army. No one can possibly have the proportions these people come up with. I have told them repeatedly that their claim that they measured correctly is not true. I have the product in my hands and am measuring it, but they will never admit it.
Stick with LOCAL vendors who actually have physical address or order online only from companies with proven reputations who actually care about customer satisfaction. All that matters to these guys is keeping your money once they have it. You will have a pair of jeans you will want to burn after going through all of the deceitful, valueless, rip-off tactics this company practices. Shame, because if they would merely have a decent return policy like most businesses do, and admit they sometimes cut jeans much smaller than ordered, I would consider ordering from them again for my son as he grows. I could ere on the side of larger than he needs and feel confident. They have a HUGE PROBLEM in getting the measurements right, and this problem becomes the customers problem. VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY!!!
