I shifted from prepaid to postpaid in the month of Oct 10.I had taken the Rs 249 plan and Airtel had provided 200 free sms, 600mts free to local gsm and when my bill came I was charged even though I had not exceeded the limit. On communicating with them they came up with only cock and bull stories. Thank God number portability came and I finally ported out of the Airtel work on March 1st 2011 to BSNL.I have been using BSNL Prepaid and am really happy with their service and it has really led to savings in money by using their BSNL Mitra where 5 numbers to whom i register and call am being charged at a concessional rate.
One of my relatives who had Airtel prepaid got Rs 200/-knocked off in Feb 11 without any reason. A total of 6 connections of Airtel of my relatives have migrated to BSNL and have informed Airtel that I would never want to deal with any product of theirs in future.
