Airtel is a company of thugs and cheats.
I changed the status nof my connection from corporate to individual. At the time of the change, I was getting 6 months free GPRS pack which was getting expired within 10-15 days after the switch over.
After the connection was changed, I called Airtel Customer care to activate the Rs 98 2GB free GPRS pack. I was told that you will get 6 months free GPRS pack and you do not need to activate that pack.
The first month after the switch, I was not charged. The next month I was charged and when I complained, I was apologized to and the amount was credited to my account.
The same thing happened in the third month and the whole amount of GPRS use was credited to my account.
In the fourth month, the amount was again billed to my account. When I complained, I was assured that the amount will be credited but nothing happened. I called up atleast 10 times and I was always assured. I called their Nodal office 5 times, again, just assurance that you will get a call within 2 days and nothing happened. Then when I once again complained, I was told that your pack has expired and you will have to pay the bill. I told the executive that I have been getting the discounts, but he started getting impolite and said that you will have to pay the bill. I said that if the pack had expired 4 months back, how come you were giving me discounts for the previous 3 months. To this he had no response.
I said if the pack was expired, when I callled to get it activated, you should have activated it.
If there was a confusion, you should have noticed it after the first bill was generated. Now after 4 months you say that there was some confusion at that time and you will have to pay now, I will not accept this.
To this he slammed the phone on me. So very unprofessional and impolite.
The company is thug and just want to rob people. They give assurances and half way down the line, show their true color. Pathetic for such a big company. Shame on you.
