I have started getting these curious updates from Airtel 3333- I never subscribed to such stupidity- but I keep getting them- and they are doing an amazingly good job of it! An sms every 2 mins to give me details on the match between India and SL!! WOWOW! and they top it up with trivia too... Now this is what I call abject disregard for personal space!
AIRTEL and Sunil Mittal has managed to show total disregard for (add Arun Bhasin and Anil Ambani into the equation too...) customer service!! I think they loathe to think that they are in the business of serving the customer! network is a farce, they just do not have the bandwidth, all they are interested is in the consumers' money, you try a number, they connect you for a mere 1 second- you are billed and then promptly you get a network failure message...
I have called Airtel customer service to rectify the sms menace and a recharge problem(well, they do have a number for customer service- but that is more for effect, rather than any serious remedy for customer problems) several times, only to hear various excuses of their NOT Solving the problem. You just have to give it to them- they do have an impressive repertoire of excuses!!
Who do we complain to? TRAI? The last resort?
