REQUEST FOR DISCONNECTION

I HAD REQUESTED FOR CANCELLATION OF AIRTEL TELEPHONE NUMBER 080-41119336 ON 16.09.2010 AND THE CANCELLATION REFERENCE NUMBER GIVEN TO ME WAS 37689486.

AND AFTER THIS THEY HAVE KEPT ON GENERATING NEW BILLS AND PESTERING ME TO PAY THE AMOUNT.

I GOT VARIOUS CALLS FROM AIRTEL REQUESTING ME NOT TO GET THE SERVICE DISCONNECTED AND ETC... AND ALSO NOTE THAT THE ABOVE TELEPHONE IS NOT WORKING FROM PAST 12 MONTHS BEFORE I REQUESTED FOR A DISCONNECTION.

AND STILL I PAID THE BILLS INSPITE OF THE PHONE NOT WORKING... ALL THE REQUESTS FOR CANCELLATION DURING THAT PERIOD ALSO FELL ON DEAF EARS AND THEY KEPT GIVING EVASIVE REPLIES AND FALSE PROMISES...

NOW THEY SEND ME A LEGAL NOTICE FOR NON PAYMENT OF BILLS.

SOMEBODY OUT THERE PLEASE HELP AND ADVISE ME HOW TO SORT THIS PROBLEM... I AM READY TO PAY THE AMOUNT UPTO 16.09.2010 (THE DAY I REQUESTED FOR CANCELLATION) BUT NOT AFTER THAT...
