Disconnection of phone with lifetime validity

I was having a lifetime prepaid connection 9915003435 since last about five years. Last month, I was out of station and the phone was swithched off, when I came back about fifteen days back I found that the phone was not working I complained to Airtel immediately and they said that as I had not submitted the verification form the phone has been disconnected permanently. I may like to inform that I had already submitted the verification form in the month of September to their office in Ludhiana. Moreover I had submitted the verification form about three four times in the past besides at the time of taking the connection. I may like to add that the verification was done by the Airtel people as earlier it was a postpaid connection and it was converted to prepaid three four years ago. Will the Airtel people listen and restore my connection and balance of approx Rs 200 in the phone.
