This is to inform you that I requested a closure of my account with Airtel in January on the grounds that I was leaving the country.
I received an email from them that my account has been closed and insteat of any dues they had an excess amount paid by me to them which they never said how they are going to return back.
1 month after that they ask me to pay another 19K as outstanding on my account when I am outside the country. I asked a simple question that why wasn't I informed about it when I asked for closure of account in January. They never replied back on email.
Since then, some Mr. Rajkumar from airtel collections has been faking identities and calling my friends and family and even gone to the extent of threatening them.
I spoke to him and asked him to provide me the information where the company policy says that part of consumer dues can be asked even after the account closure is done. He never gave me any answer on that except that I can find it on website and this is a TRAI policy.
His threatening calls continue and this is very disgusting on Airtel's part if he has been authorised by the company. I am unsure of how to pursue on this and would request your intervention in this.
