GPRS service disabled on roaming

My husband (Airtel number: 9892127735) travelled to Chennai on Friday August 29. His GPRS network is not working since the network's gone on roaming. He has tried several times to call technical assistance to solve this problem. Even after following all instructions they have given, the GPRS hardly starts for 10 seconds every time he restarts and then shuts down.

Not only is the Airtel staff not helping in this case, they don't even have a call back facility to call my husband and help sort out his problem. He's spending on roaming call charges every time he calls to even complain. I can't even believe that Airtel Technical assistance dept has no call back facility to handle complaints.

Airtel has always been lax and casual in customer service. None of our complaints about lack of network or about billing have ever been handled, leave alone tackled. Their customer service executives are the worst, they can't even answer questions or doubts properly. And the only time they call customers is when they need to ask when we will pay our bills, a week before due date?

When is Airtel going to wake up? After we have changed over to Vodafone?

This is lousy service and it's clear from their behaviour how much they care about their customers.
