Unwanted subscription to VAS

I bought one Airtel sim some 7 months back. I have repeatedly, almost 3-4 times, requested Airtel to not put my number in any kind of promotional calls or sms, to put my number in DND category. But till date they keep sending me all kind of sms, and top of that they SUBSCRIBE me to these services WITHOUT ANY CONSENT from my side. It has happened many times before when I had to call 198 and request them not to do such robbery!!

This is indeed daylight robbery... Most of the people in this town are simple villagers and private companies like AIRTEL keep SUBSCRIBING them to such services on their own.

Today when I try calling 198, it asks me keep punching my options through keypad then thanks me and say goodbye!! What's wrong with this country??

Someone from airtel has to take ownership and STOP THIS ROBBERY from these innocent villagers who have no idea of whats happening. They are too innocent even to complaint... THIS IS GRAVE SITUATION... Morals of the companies are going down the drain... perhaps they dont even know that there exists something known as Business Ethics...
