Yesterday I received an SMS from Airtel which thanked me for downloading a particular ringtone, which I had never done and an amount of Rs. 30/- was deducted from my prepaid account. I registered a complaint to the Airtel Customer care who initially did not accept my version and told me that I must have downloaded the ringtone. When I told firmly that I had never downloaded any ringtone, they agreed to reverse the charges within next 3 working days. This is very poor service to customers by Airtel. First they illegally deduct some amount from the customer's account, then they promise to reverse the same after complaint by the customer and take long 3 days for it. Airtel is making a good amount of money from all customers who do not register such complaint.
