Airtel
PRI Line not working

Dear SIr,

I am running a Nursing Home under the name and style of M/s. Khetarpal Nursing Home at GN-5, Shivaji Enclave, New Delhi - 110027. I was using MTNL connections earlier and was satisfied by their services. A couple of years back, Airtel representatives approached me and told me about PRI connection which is a corporate connection. They said disconnect all MTNL lines and use only airtel for outgoing calls. Believing their representation, I disconnected all my MTNL connections (5 in nos.) and started using one PRI line 011-45600000. The phone was working fine and the service was prompt as promised, but everything changed on 13th October when the line went dead and is not working since then. Below is a list of complaints verbal and email which I have don to airtel but to no avail :-

1. A complaint was made to the local engineer of airtel on 13th October itself. He came and said that the number has become "switchfree" and needs to be reactivated from the Airtel backend.

2. On 15th October I formally registered a complaint with Airtel on their customer care number vide ref. no. 5760294 for reactivation of the same.

3. At the behest of the customer care department, I sent an email also to the customer care department and received a reply from them on 15th October stating that the problem will be resolved by 24th October by 11:30 A.M.

4. In between 15th October and 24th October I did repeated followups via calls and emails to get the same corrected but got the same answer that the same shall be corrected by 24th October.

5. From 24th October I have sent numerous mails and made numerous phone calls to date but to no avail.

6. A few days back I spoke to one Mr. Vicky Makwana who is one of the top officials of Airtel. He said the phone is not reactivated as the bill for the same is not paid by me. On my asking which bill he said, the bill generated on 6th November. Adding insult to injury, he said that the bill needs to be paid to reactivate the number. He meant that I need to pay the bill for the period when the phone line is not even working to get the same reactivated.

7. As I am typing this mail I made another call to Airtel Appelate team and they again asked for 24 hours to revert. Like this they have asked for 24 or 48 hours on numerous occassions but there have been no call backs other than the "Mahanubhaav" Vicky Makwana Sir Ji who made the comments noted above.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out certain things :-

1. Who is responsible for the loss of business that I have suffered because of Airtel?

2. Who is responsible for the wrong commitments made by airtel at the time of selling me the connection?

3. Who is responsible for the wrong commitments of the Customer Care, the Nodal Office of Airtel and the Appelate Team of Airtel for giving false commitments every day since 13th October?

4. Who is responsible for the comments of Sushri Vicky Makwana Ji who claims that I need to pay my bill for the phone line which is DEAD to reactivate the same.

I hope any of the addressees of this email can help me out in taking on a behemoth Private Corporation which has now turned into working like a Government Enterprise.
