Airtel not migrating Post paid to Prepaid Service for Number Portability Customers

Recently I had moved from Vodafone to Airtel (Postpaid to Postpaid). I felt the need to move to Prepaid service. When I requested for the same Airtel Service officials told me that since I am Vodafone customer (they might've meant, since I was, but these were their exact words), this service is not provided to me. I am grossly dissatisfied and plan to exploit number portability again to move on to a service provider who can make my connection prepaid. This is grossly low quality service from Airtel.
