Sundance Vacations/Tri State Financial
Scam!

Do not fall for their "Win a Trip" scam. You do not win anything. A way for them to bypass the FCC DNC list and harass you. They get you to a high pressured sales pitch and start off by telling you it's not a high pressured sales pitch, lol! We should have went running out the door when they said that. Then after the presentation, tell you things that make it sound great and wonderful ("yes, we have properties in Jamaica" but really don't) just to get you to sign a contract that is non-cancellable. Then you get home to find out there are more hidden costs and the vacation that sounded like such an amazing deal is now more than double the retail cost. This company is completely unethical. We've been in contact with them for a month now trying to cancel our contract and get our money back. They are willing to cancel the contract (even though they're not supposed to) but will only refund us back half the money. SCAM ARTISTS! This was their bit all along to take our hard earning dollar and not give us back anything in return. You either can get the vacation you paid for plus an additional $99 processing fee but they tell you when and where to go, or you pay $210 a week extra if you go during a properties prime season (note: most properties are in prime season all the time), plus your processing fee of $99 or course, then if you need more than one bedroom, another $210 a week for each additional bedroom (note: when trying to book a vacation, most properties are only two bedrooms or more). Add on another $359 for their annual fee as long as you hold onto your paid vacation weeks. So you basically pay for these vacation weeks, but can't really use them because they end up costing more then if you were to book from their "Excess Inventory" or "Hot List". When booking through the Excess Inventory, only $199 and you don't have to tap into your paid vacation weeks! Who wouldn't go for this? Why would I use up a vacation week that will end up costing me almost $1200 for a week when I can just book from your excess list or hot list ($299 for the week). At this rate, you hold onto your vacation weeks and continue to pay the annual fee of $359 for the rest of your life! Again, they are scam artists and know this. They offered us half of the money we paid and this will cancel the contract. Proof that they are only after your money and never intended to give you the vacations that were promised during their sales pitch. They stated that the vacations were there for us to use but our choice not to use them. Why would I use a vacation that cost my more than double, even triple the cost if I were to go directly to the property myself and book on my own. I will continue to post about Sundance Vacations until I receive my full refund. We have reported this to the Attorney General and will not be stopping from there. My husband will continue to call them everyday and I will continue to report to every agency I get my hands on until they do what's right. You will eventually be seeing my husband and I scouting out these "Win a Vacation" scam booths and tell people not to sign up because they are a bunch of scam artists and you won't win anything but phone calls almost every night until you agree to show up to their presentation. It's not worth it! And the free vacation is not a free vacation so don't get excited when they tell you it's a free vacation just to sit through the one hour presentation. There are hidden fees involved with this "Free Vacation" as well, an early sign of what you will be getting yourself into when you purchase their vacation package.
