We've been observing many offers around in market which contains (*) in them which leads to multiple Terms & Conditions. The intentions of these (*) is to ensure that customer gets stuck in this & can not avail the benefits which those offers give.
One of the example of such offers is (*) of Makemytrip.com which is now offering "Buy 1 Get 1". I did a booking from their website which was done on 14-Jul assuming that I am gonna avail the free tickets in next 15 days & enjoy the free travel (ofcourse pay for all the taxes). But know what, a surprise here... I did a goof up. And you know what was it? I was supposed to mention the following characters in the deal code "HappyHours". This was missed by me.
I called up their helpline to get the help so that I can avail this offer still. And not at all to my surprise, they used this as an opportunity to not let me avail this offer.
I understand there was an error done by me. But this can be helped through by the helpline which clearly knows that I'm being a repeating customer. And I'm sure the offer was for people like me who want to be a repeat customers to Makemytrip.com. But believe me their intention doesnt felt to be the one to get the customer but to enjoy customer making such mistakes & not able to avail those offers.
Believe me was not expecting this from a company like makemytrip.com that they will not even bother to help me on this issue further. For me this a learning & will always be extra careful while dealing with makemytrip.com
