To have a DTH connection I registered in Airtel website and I got a call from the sales desk within hours of my registration in webstie. I got about 4 to 5 calls from the sales desk and once I made payment promptly I received a SMS from them giving my Customer ID and another SMS confirming to me that the installation would be done the next day at 11 am. Since no one turned up I tried to call them to know the status. To my surprise as if trained in a similar fashion I get a same set of reply, same set of false promises and same set of behaviours.

Its now more than 3 days I made several calls expecting atleast basic decency from the Customer Service executives as well from the compuny side on this issue. I sent emails to the cumpany no action, just a automated reply.

After making so many calls and so many requests Customer Service executives ask me to prove that I made payment for this connection by visiting the nearby airtel office and show the receipt. Without me paying how they sent Customer ID and how they sent me SMS on installation schedules. They say I have to wait for 48 hours after I visit the airtel center and prove the payment made by me. Thanks god I was not able to make payment online, I paid by cash and have a receipt. Airtel representative visited my house and collected cash from my house.

Now customer service guys drop my call as soon as I give my customer ID.

Its day light robbery, they chase prospective target scapegoats and they speak sweetly and once they get paid there is another set of people who are well trained to make false promises and talk politely till you get irritated. Once you reach that level they show their next level of talent "AVOIDING CALLS". You calls will never be attended. You have to out smart them using your skills and reach them and explain all the issues and then tell the customer ID then too they would drop the call.

Finally their target is cheat customers and make them run away by leaving the amount paid by them with asking for refund worrying about the tension they have to take and the good money they have to spend in collecting the bad debts.

Nice strategy by Airtel. All Airtel shareholders be happy your company would make more money for you. T
