TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN
This is for your kind attention that I - Ullas Bhatia called up your Helpline to enquire about Airtel Digital TV connection. I was assured by the Sales Girl that if I order a connection on saturday the installation will be done on Sunday as You guys work on Sunday. Believing in the Sales Girl I made a payment of Rs.1199 over the IVR - Transaction id: 19696073 - Address: J-55 Ground Floor, Paryavaran Complex, Ignou Road, Neb Sarai, New Delhi-110068. I called up on Sunday on the same helpline: 0124 4448080 . I was told that its not possible to install the connection on Sunday as you guys dont work on Sunday. I was shocked to hear that. As this is Poor Service and Cheating just to make sales. I Escalated the case to a someone in Airtel named Shweta. She assured me that this connection will be done on Monday. And she promised that this will be done and appologised on sales girl's behalf. I called on the same number on Monday as the connection is not done till now and I spoke to Hem Lata who mentioned that there is no transaction showing by my transaction id and name. I was SHOCKED AND AMAZED TO HEAR THE SAME. I asked for a customer interaction number - I was told to hold and Hem Lata never came back from hold.
Now this is the WORST Service by any Service Provider that i have ever seen. For a customer to order a new connection then coming to know that a false promise was made to make a sale and than to know he hasn't paid the money and that too by a company like AIRTEL i think its going down. I have been using Airtel Mobile connections from past 10 years, dont think Airtel needs customers like me any more. And in regards to the Rs. 1199 that i have paid i have the records from my credit card company along with the recorded calls. And i think thats enough to log an official complaint with Police and consumer court. And also would go to Press soon so that no one else becomes a Prey to your PATHETIC SALES PEOPLE AND SERVICE. "This is Cheating - Airtel you are going down."
