AVA merchandising
Product not delivered

Hi,

I am an ICICI credit card holder, and in one of the statements I received a booklet from AVA merchandising wherein I could order certain products. I placed an order for a UCB wrist watch costing rs. 990.00 plus rs. 100.00 as shipping charges. They charged the amount to my credit card on 30th May.

AVA merchandising promises a 21 day delivery. However, I didn't receive anything for over a month. I called a few times and everytime I would get the status that the watch was not in stock. Finally, in late July I called and canceled and asked for a refund, and was told that it would be paid in 3-4 weeks. There was no cancellation number provided as they said the system was being upgraded.

I didn't get any refund and called on August 30th. I spoke to their customer care representative, Mrinal, who confirmed that my cancellation was logged in their system however they had already dispatched the watch. I asked him to cancel that and just refund my money, as I had already asked for a refund over a month ago.

I again called AVA today, Sep 6th, and spoke to Deepika. Even after 8 days, they are still saying that the watch has been couriered and they can't provide a refund. Very strangely, my original cancellation, which had been validated even by Mrinal, was now not on the system!

I have waited for over 3 months and this company doesn't seem to be interested in giving either my refund.
