Faulty design

Hi,

I bought a Titan Aviator watch (model - 1357SL01) in June (3 months back). The watch cost me around 7500 INR at that time.

My last three watches were Titan only but after this experience I am really feeling bad.

According to me there is a serious problem with this model. In this model, the case of the watch, which is quite heavy, is attached with the strap with 4 small nuts. The depth of the nut screws is not enough so that it can hold the case properly and strongly.

What happenend was, after 1.5 months of buying it, one of the screws went missing (I don't know how it got unscrewed or broken). Now when i sent the watch to Titan service centre, they told me that we don't manufacture the nuts separately. And now you have to spent 5000 Rs in order to get a new case altogether. I think this is not justifiable and this incident is really making me feel bad about Titan watches. Me being a software engg don't do any mechanical work so that it may damage the watch. This is for sure due to some technical problem in the watch.

I know the mail is too long but do take pains to read it and help me. This watch has been gifted to me by my wife and don't want to keep it like this to save my 5000 Rs. I am pretty sure, and you can confirm the problem with this model from other customers also, as I know I was the one who took utmost care of my watch still i got it damaged.

Please understand my problem and do the needful.
