Autorickshaw Driver Pune
Unjustified fare

Hi,

It was 1st Jan (what a way to start the year!!!) when we hired an auto to take us from aundh to Bhandarkar road and then to camp in Pune. Being in pune for so many years this is the most ridiculous incident I have come across. The meter showed 15.40 as the reading. The auto rickshaw driver ruthlessly charged us 200 Rs!!! Moreover on asking him the tarrif card, he showed me one but looked more like a tailor made card for revenue making!!! (Forget about me giving in and paying such losers 200Rs. Paid him 140 to get rid of him). Also, mostly my travelling is in autos itself so am pretty much aware about the fare calculation bearing the diesel and petrol price hike that these guys give as an excuse. I would like the necessary officials to take necessary action against such drivers as what is more disheartening is when they would misbehave this way and pick up a fight with aged people and senior citizens.
