Cheque return

I am a teacher and i am having an salary account in axis bank my account no.is 566010100073802 but on one day 31-3 i had deposited 1000rs in the morning before 10:00 am but than also my cheque was return without my concern the bank had debited my ac by Rs387 and return my cheque & when i went to inquire about that the person sitting as a operation manager Mr. vijay first he was very busy playing with his mobile & after when i told him my complain he talk with me very roughly and in the very bad tone and told me that this is the bank policy and you will have to face such problems i cannot do anything & if you want you & your whole unit can close the account with our bank. Can you help me to get my penelty back or i should take help of consumer foram.
