Money vanished from account for 14 days

On 14th Dec I requested to open a FD for Rs.60000. Instantly same amount got deducted from my SB account (FDQ717). FD didn't get opened. On 27th Dec Bank returned Rs.60000 to my SB account. They said my PAN no. was not there in their database. Firstly, if PAn no. was not there why they kept the money for these 14 days? What they did with it? I missed 8.25% interest for the same for 14 days. Secondly, around six monthes back I personally visited the branch and submitted the photo copy of my PAN card. Why it had not been updated? Total incident was a mental harrasment to me. I want 8.25% interest on Rs.60000 for these 14 days. Please look into it.
