Stop Payment done and even informed

I had given stoppayment instructions for the cheque issued to Airtel. As there was delay from there site for starting our new mobile no. They called us up and we said that we have given stop payment instructions to the bank. They said okay and we shall not bank the cheque. Even after oral communication to them they deposited the cheque and now we have been charged heavy bank charges for the same.

Now we want refund from them.
