Dear Sir,
I was holding a credit card of ICICI Bank for approx. 3 years. For usage done in August I got bill in September 08, Showing a transaction of Rs14000 at Midas modelling. As I didnt made any such transaction, I called up the customer care and Blocked the card. As per the advice from the customer care I put a dispute on this transaction with complaint number and send it to the bank by fax (which I did), with which they will start an enquiry which will take around 60 days. After this in the month of October they reversed the transaction of 14000 & convinced me that nothing is payable by me towards this 14000 & I can use the credit card. Every thing went well till January the statement after that contained the amount of Rs14000. After that I have stopped using the card & have settled all dues with the bank except the amount of Rs14000 which has not been incurred by me. I am regularly following up with the customer care & collection executive which keep on coming to my place for recovery, we get a standard answer that they will check & revert back with complete status on the same. In June a collection executive called up & said that in order to avoid all legal complication he will workout a settlement proposal & get this closed, He came back saying that he had taken approval from the highest authority & got a settlement in my case wherein I have to pay only Rs700 (Rs seven hundred only) immediately by 20th June, the poor fellow convinced me by presenting all sorts of difficulties he will be in if I donot settle this for Rs700, To avoid all sorts of complication & jhanjhuts, I paid him Rs700 in cash to close the matter. The matter was not closed, inspite the matter still continues, with regular statements being sent to my residence, now collection agencies have also became more aggressive & are threatening for all sort of actions Now a days I am getting calls and notices for paymet and thretening to drag me to court.
Kindly look into the matter & get the same resolved ASAP.
