Clearance from cibil

I had a barkley credit card in which I purchased a washing machine. Without my knowledge and permission the credit card company made my payments into EMI's which I objected and stopped my payments. After few months of arguements the recovery person who use to visit my office and home came to an understanding to collect Rs 23, 750/- for which he gave a receipt. Unfortunately i misplaced the receipt because i didnt take it seriously. Recently I came to know that my matter is reflecting as settled in CIBILL accounts and because of this I am not able to get a credit card again. Could you make arrangements to remove the word settled so that i can go ahead with a credit card? Kindly let me know on this. I have nothing to do with Barkleys company anymore.
