Unaccountabale electricity billing

Hi All,

This is Sumedha residing at Vasundhara Enclave, New Delhi. This is to bring to light the increasing unbelieveable electricity bills that are being dished out to my address since the last few months by BSES. BSES has always had a dubious reputation of various kinds of billing irregularities, but for the last few months I had tried to find reasons at at our consumption end for the increases. However, both me & my flatmate are at our wits end on seeing this month's billing spiking even more than the last! Both of us incumbents are more than sure that consumption has been much lower at out end as we have been keeping all optional uses like coolers, extra fans & lights at nil.

As a journalist, and citizen aware of the level of corruptions prevalent in our electricity systems, i am not going to buy this hideous bill! Either BSES has been engaging in unscrupulous billing or someone has been stealing/pulling off electricity from our connection.
