Checque Status

This is regarding a cheque number : 76247 for the name of Himanshu Tripathi ; Dated 21/07 and deposited in SBI--dehri-on-sone Branch, Bihar issued by SBI Sasaram Branch, of amount Rs. 10000, but it is 1st August but still it is not reflecting in the account in which it was supposed to be deposited.

A normal cheque should take maximum of 4 days to clear but I am not sure why a such reputed bank is taking so much time to perform such a routine action.

Please let me know if any actions can be taken against SBI as this was very urgent activity for me and I have incurred loss because of this.
