Name on defaulters list in CIBIL

Hello Sir/Madam,

HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!!

I had used a couple of credit cards until 2007.Later I had gone for settlement with ICICI, SBI and CITIBANK.I had collected a No Objection and No due letter from the respective banks and on the letters, it is mentioned that "Payment towards full & final settlement". Inspite of me having those letters, but still Iam not able to apply for a new credit card now.(Humans learn from their mistakes, isnt it??)

I guess my name is listed on CIBIL defaulters list.

To find if my name is on CIBIL, I had checked their website and applied for a CIR by paying them Rs 142/- about 10 days back. Iam still waiting for a reply.

Can anyone suggest me a way out as I desperately need a credit card urgently?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!
