Removal of name from CIBIL

Dear Browsers,

Iam Vishal from Bangalore. I have used 3 credit cards about 4 years back. I called all 03 credit card banks and closed the cards through settlement after I received a written No-Dues Certificate from them. However I want to apply for a home loan and it got rejected. I applied for CIBIL report and got it. My name is listed on it.

How will I get my name out of CIBIL defaulters list?

Please help me on this subject.
