Dishonesty of cibil regarding putting name in defaulter list

It is a very rare example of dishonesty of cibil in putting name of mine in defaulter list. i am shocked to know while approaching for a loan recently from a financial institution that i am enlisted as a defaulter in cibil report which shows an outstanding amount against an undisclosed credit card. when i approached and able to collect a cibil report, i am shocked to see that in my membership id some similar name (allmost) with different address and phone no. of chennai is there who is supposed to be a defaulter. because i dont have any credit card which can prove me that i am having any outstanding amount against that. Rather i am shocked to see that how can such irresponsible updation is done in my name which is not mine ofcourse. the name which is mapped with my name is ridiculous .i there fore want to approach for legal action against cibil which has maligned my position in front of that financial institution. if anybody can help me to approach, i will be obliged.
