My details not removed from defaulter list

Hi this is tamilselvan.n... I had credit cards from multiple banks... and I was defaulter... Last year I closed all my credit cards after bargaining with representatives.. They assured me once settlement was done and in after 3 to 6 months my details will be removed from defaulter list... Now before a month i applied for another credit card to check whether my details were removed from defaulters list... and now it is still there... can you suggest me how to proceed further for removing my details from defaulter list... I have all my settlemnet letters... and i dont have any dues for now...
