CIBIL CREDIT REPORT
Failure to provide credit report

Hello

I'd filled out a credit report request and made an online payment (Reference 0810001734). I'd printed out the form and sent it via courier to the address mentioned on the website on Aug 9th.

I got an email from CIBIL advising me that my address on the credit report from a certain institution does not match and asked me to get an address confirmation letter of latest address from Credit institution. However, they did not tell me who that credit institution is.

It sounds silly if someone tells me to get a report from an insititution and does not tell me who it is? If I have a few bank accounts and credit cards, who should I approach?

I tried explaining the same to them over email a number of times, the latest on Aug 26th and Oct 5th and have got the same reply from them. I tried calling them at the number listed on their website, 91 -22 6638 4600. This number is always busy and i am not able to reach an operator.

If this is the level of customer service that is going to be provided in a large country like India, the question to ask is should they even be authorized to provide this service of having credit histories.

I checked your website and there are already a lot of complaints against CIBIL. Please advise course of action.
