Citibank credit card recovery asking to pay them extra money

Hi

I have used citibank credit card. Now the when the recovery agents in Chandigarh, came to my place, said i can go for settlement, they did inform me that I have to pay Rs 40, 000 also need to pay them an amount of Rs 5000 (for their own use). Recovery agents are really forcing me to pay Rs 5000 extra. I have agreed to pay them Rs 40, 000. Dont want to pay them Rs 5000 as its going in their pockets not paying to the bank.
