SMS after closing the a/c for payment

Dear Sir,
A few months ago I had a request to close my credit card no.4568 2293 8002 6006 as I have been retired from service and had difficulties to maintain any such cards. Subsequently, I have already received an SMS on 11.10.2011 from citi bank that my above mentioned card has been closed with thanks. Afterwards, I have seen every month SMS are comming to my mobile a mini statement for depositing total amount due to be paid. The period mentioned in SMS is after the clousoure of that a/c. Please do the needful, so that no SMS comes.
