IPO allotment not made at discount for retail investors

I have to bring to your kind notice that in terms of Coal India IPO Allotment advice no.6138729 dated 1.11.10, i was allotted 149 shares at offer price of Rs. 245 per share as applicable for other bidders instead of as applicable to retail investors at a discount.

In this connexion, it is submitted that i had applied for Bid amount of Rs. 73500/- vide Bid cum Application form no.2400000013823382, the bid amount being less than Rs. 100000/- i should have been given the benefit of offer price of rs. 232.75 as applicable to Retail Bidders, by Coal India

I had vide my under-noted mail dated 22 November taken up the matter with Link in Time, the Registrar to the Issue and requested them to look into the matter and re work out the bid price for the allotted 149 shares at rs. 232.75 as applicable for retail investors and arrange to refund the difference at their earliest. Despite my under noted reminder mails dated 29 Decemberand 4 January Link in time has not cared to reply in the matter.

A better treatment to retail investors by way of prompt response at least is needed.

Matter was taken up with Linked india Registrar to the IPO as well as SEBI, but no response till date.
