This is a complaint on behalf of my client Mr. Prasanna A. Paranjape.

My client is a medical practitioner and doing his practice at pune and mumbai. He is having a crdit card of ICICI bank bearing no. 4477-4635-0236-7002. After using the credit Card for some monts my client reveals that the services of the said bank is not to his satisfaction and the bank is charging unnessesory amounts. Thus my client stoped the use of said Credit card. Initialy he paid the outstanding amount to the bank regularly. After stoping the use of the card he demanded the statement of his Crdit Card so that he could pay the outstanding amount to the bank and get the account closed. However, to his surprise, the bank, instade of providing the statement of account started claiming exagarated amount by calling and thretening my client on his telephone.

On 13th and 14th july my client received calls from 30588863 in respect of the outstanding amount. The person on call was not disclosing his name to my client but thertning him to pay all the outstanding amount immidiatly or ready to face the dare consiquences. My client is a law abiding person and having intention to pay the fare and legal outstanding amount to the bank. However, my client refuses to fulfill the illigal demands of the bank. He further wrote a letter to the bank on 23/07 and thereby complained abouts the threatning calls receiving from the goons appointed by the bank for recovery. He further requested to the bank to provide all details including statement showing the outstaing amount on his Credit Card. However the bank did noting about it. Eventhough, to show his intention to pay the outstanig amount, my clien had paid an amount of Rs. 8000/- to the bank on 28th july. The bank is still not providing the detail of the Credit Card. This beheviour of the bank is against rules of law and showing disrespect towords the rights of my client as a customer.

On 8th of January I my self, on request of my client and one Yashswini Patil, the advocate of the bank went to to the office of the said bank situated at Bhandarkar Road, Pune, along with my client with a view settle the matter once for all. We meet one Mr. Shinde who is a employee of the bank and who was continuesly calling my client to come to the bank and get the issue closed. He then took us to a person allegin himself the manager og the said bank for discussion about our queries. He asked my client to pay the outstanding amount immidiatly without replying the questions we raised before him. He also threatned my client before me that if my client did not pay the outstanding amount.

When I asked him to show me the details of the outstanding amount, he sreightway refuse to furnish the details and started abusing me and my client.

This behaviour of the bank is adamant and illigal. I, therefore request you to take necessory action against the said bank as early as possible.
