They have cheated me

Couple of months ago I got a call from “Dinning Plus India” saying that the call is from SBI credit card department. I was said that they are very pleased with me as I am a loyal customer since last few years. And they are going to offer me something for my loyalty. The offer was 1. A VIP card which will accept by all shops where generally normal people like me visits every day. 2. Two holiday gift vouchers with 3 nights & 2 days trip. 3. One Reebok gift voucher worth Rs. 1000/-. They also said that they do not have any hidden costs apart from what they are going to charged me. They charged around 6000/- and that amount got deducted from my card automatically.

Initially I thought it is worthy and agreed. But later I realized that I did a blunder mistake and called SBI credit card department. They said that they did not call me and they don’t have any collaboration with Dining Plus India.

I observed that they have many hidden cost. For example to claim the Reebok gift voucher I send them my choice via courier service which cost my around Rs. 100/-. Also to claim the Holiday gift vouchers they charged Rs. 500/- demand draft to process it.

Now most interesting part is they are not directly handling the holiday gift voucher related things. It is handled by another third part vendor called “CountryWideHoliday”. They did not reveal all these earlier.

When I ask them to send Reebok belt worth Rs. 1000/-, I saw it can cost maximum Rs. 300/- in market, after seeing the quality of the belt. I have applied for both my holiday vouchers, one for me and another one is for one of my friend.

I saw they have so many conditions while I have applied for it. For example we have to choose 3 holiday places and 3 alternate days for all these places. They will only confirm us the final date and place before 5 to 10 days of the actual date.

My question to them is, how somebody can book their tickets just before 5 to 10 days? Also is it possible to plan for a holiday just before 5 to 10 days?

Apart from all these “CountryWideHoliday” fails to offer me a place and date with my choices and just one day before of my last date of all the three dates they called me and requested for other dates. They said that I they will send me email stating that they are not able to book a holiday spot of my choice and I can avail it later. But no emails after that, I am still waiting for their email and it is 4 months after I got last call from them.
