Fixed Deposit A/c
Premature payment of the account

Dear sir,

My sister has a fixed deposit a/c in Canara Bank B/O Safadarjang Development Area. She is holding deposit in your bank along with her husband. Last year her husband expired. Now she approached the branch with death certificate and asked them to make payment of the said fdr to the survivor (deposit is in the joint name under the head either or survivor). But the branch manager is adament and not making the payment of the said fdr with the objection... that he cannot make payment before the maturity of the deposit. Now she is in dire need of money.
