I have applied for a loan from HDFC Bank. I am shocked to know that my name is on CIBIL as a defaulter whereas to the best of my knowledge I do not have any default past. On aproching the bank executive to know that what is the problem actually the credit manager says that he can not tell the name of the bank from where the default is reported in CIBIL. Without knowing the root cause how can I aproch some one to rectify that.

Pls help me what to do,
