Credit Card processing put on hold

I have applied for a credit card in the third week of May. I have received multiple verfication calls to both office and home. One of their executives came down to meet me personally at my office and home as well. In the last call I received (to office), I was asked to mention the preferred location (home/office) for delivery of credit card. However, I didnot receive the card. I called up the credit card customer care (hyd) on June 5th and came to know that my card processing was put on hold as I was unreachable through my office contact number. Also, most of the executives who called me were out of sync with the information already provided to them. Please look into the issue and do the needful.
It will be really helpful to know the correct procedure (if any) and the number of calls an executive should make while offering a credit card to any of their customers.
