Cheque book Issue Request

I have an account with HDFC Bank - Okhla Branch and i requested for a cheque book online which i did not receive for quite some time. I again requested online and did not get it. Then i called up customer care and came to know that it has returned un-delivered due to some reason which is not mentioned in their system and they cannot take my request on phone and i need to visit the branch for cheque book request.

My concern is that it should have been the responsibility of bank to inform me through call, e-mail or any other means that my cheque book has returned un-delivered. Then one day i got a cal from a executive of different HDFC Branch explaining that he is my RM and i do not need to visit the branch and he will get this sorted out. But that RM also did not bother to call back and update me. When i did not get any response, i called up the RM and now he is telling me that i need to visit the bank for the cheque book request and he cannot do much about it. I lost several days due to all this crap of the bank. what is the use of having such processes which frustrate the client. Bank should have checked with the customer on non-delivery.

I am highly frustrated with the poor customer service of this bank.
