Credit card issue

My self Manish Gupta using HDFC Credit Card 5243 **** **** 8224. i deposited cheque on 24 dec for bill after confirming from their costumer care as next day is christmas, so that they dont charge, but when i got the statement there was charge added in bill. i again called them to cross check then they said it will be adjusted in next bill. and i did the payment. but again they did nt work and then i decide to not to any amount unless they adjust my bill. now some collection team is calling me and threatening me that they will spoil my CBIL record and blah blah blah... kindly help me
