Short amount reimbursed by bank for Auto Loan

I had got an auto loan approved from HDFC Bank for Rs. 4, 17, 000/- (Four Lakhs Seventeen thousand only) for purchasing a vehicle account number for the loan is 16336090. Based on the discussion with the bank the loan amount post deduction of processing charges Rs. 2, 272/- was to be transferred into the account of the Automobile agency directly by the bank. To this effect bank had mailed the Delivery Order (DO) to the agency also for Rs.4, 17, 000/- less processing fees thus net transferable Rs. 4, 14, 728/- but later on to my surprise I came to know from the agency that they had received Rs. 4, 13, 978/- ie. Rs 750/- less than the DO.

On contacting the bank and remaining in touch with the bank for more than two week’s time no one in the bank was ready to provide me the reason for transferring lesser amount to the Automobile agency. Since the amount transferred to the account was less, agency was not ready to release my Registration Certificate (RC). Finally I had to deposit Rs. 750/- to the agency and got my RC released copy of the slip is attached along with this letter.

In the past two week I had suffered mental harassment from the bank the same was not expected from such a reputed bank.

In case no action is taken by the bank I will be compelled to go against the bank in Consumer Court.

Looking forward for an appropriate compensation from the bank on account of mental harrassment I had gone through because of the bank.
