HDFC Bank
No response from bank for account clousure

My brother had an account in HDFC bank sirsa, i wanted to close that account due to some personal reasons as currently he can't close his account. i contacted palakkad branch on the month of MAY and they told me that they would do the needful to close the a/c. i gave them the cheque book and the other documents to them, but i didn't get any response from both the branches i again contacted the customer care on august and they arranged a call back from palakkad branch. The lady from palakkad branch told me that they would sent the documents that i had given them on the month of may. Its a month after that i again had not got any respose from anyone. I doubt that HDFC would like to make that account inactive if no transactions are made for months and want the money from that account.

If a co branch cant do the needful for a customer, is it really essential to take an account with a bank having world wide services.
