Credit card payment due

Hi,
I was holding HDFC Bank Gold Credit card. Now, the problem started after I make the payment via cheque on 2nd Feb Vijaya Bank cheque number 333909 against total outstanding. But now after 6 month from the date of payment, their collection department has called me for Rs. 3000/- approx as a outstanding on my card for which i have not used nor have any information from Feb to clear it. No communication has been received from HDFc banck credit card department. No mails, nor SMS nor any statement send by the Bank to inform me about the said outstanding. I requested the Collection officer Mr. Sandeep Sharma during his call dated 10th Sept to provide me details and statement of A/c with Proof of any communication done by the Bank before 10th of Sept and after 2nd Feb to have default from customer side or liable to make the payment as per desire by the bank. If i have been receiving any communication regarding overdue or any outstanding left after the payment of Rs. 18500/- on 1st feb as a total outstanding i would happy to make it. But if a patient will not go to the Doctor for check up, how a doctor can cure him. Atleast customer need some communication as a intimation to resolve a issue. Now as i have received call from collection officer Mr, Sandeep Sharma to intimate about the outstanding lying on my card, i straight away called him to provide me Statement of A/c and proof of any communication done earlier to proove my fault and if not then the Bank has to reverse back the outstanding amount with immediate effect at the earliest.
After receiving 1st call from collection agencies for the recovery of the amount. As i don't like communicating any person for the same due to my nature and image with the financial partners like Credit card department HSBC, CitiBank etc. I am man of Ethics and morale i always prefer to pay the total outstanding of any banks card before the due date, and for that you may check with them or i cvan show you the proof for the support.
I seeks an official Bank settlement letter alongwith the statement of Account reflecting no dues to avoid any legal complications.
Please update the same to your respective collection agencies.
I have only one option left with me to file a civil suit against the bank.
