Service Tax charged on Interest - Loan on Card

Dear Sir,

I hold an HDFC Credit Card Visa Signature ending with 6882 and my name is Balaji Rajagopalan. i have opted for a loan on my credit card and have received a letter that my EMI will be Rs. 17545.99 excluding Service Tax. I am worried that the bank is going to charge service tax on the interest component because as per my understanding There should be no service tax on interest. SErvice Tax should only be on services provided. How do i get the bank to reverse the service tax part on interest. I promptly pay my bills and also my credit is very clean. Have called customer service, b ut they are no in no mood to listen.
