Credit Card Settlement

Hi Team,

My wife holds HDFC Mast Gold credit card and also a Salary account in HDFC. Her brother used her credit card for the total available amount without her knowledge. Finally she came to know at the time of settlement. However, she paid first instalment thru her savings account (Rs.3600) and other three installment her brother gave 3 checks of HDFC. In that first check cleared (Rs.8800) and other 2 doesn't.

Later, In Feb her salary account got blocked and total of 19000 wiped from her account.

We called phone banking executive and they confirmed the credit card is blocked and it is closed, no more payment is required after lemar the account. Now, again collections team is calling her asking for the payment of Rs.38000. She almost depressed at this situation. (She is conceived now and she is getting harrased thru calls.) I am really worried about this situation.

Is there anyone help me resolve this issue or Can I file a case against HDFC Bank.
